The Final Week of Individual K'NEX

Hello everyone!
First of all, let me welcome you to the fourth quarter! The blogging directions are a bit different for this quarter; we have to make three minor comments to the 8th grade blog(http://aisz810.blogspot.com), two minor comments to the 6th grade blog(http://aisz610.blogspot.com, starts May 1st), and three minor comments to the 7th grade blog(this one, http://aisz70910.blogspot.com). We have to make AT LEAST ONE MINOR COMMENT PER WEEK! These are the dates the comments are due:

April 16th , April 23rd , April 30th , May 7th,

May 14th , May 21st , May 28th , June 4th

The reflection post is due June 4th.

Now, in class this week, we have been working with K'NEX - this was the final week of building individual constructions! We were working mainly on pulleys and gears. We did not have to answer questions about the gears, we just had to show Ms. D that it worked. Next week we will make the big, combined K'NEX construction. All teams have passed the 35-credit limit!

We do not have any homework except for posting the comments to the blogs!

The next scribe is.............

LAURA!!!!!!!!!

  1. Hey Viktor. I really liked that you explained throughly about the blogging information. The links also made it easier for me to look at other blogs. I do think that the font and size made it a bit harder to read. For example the dates, some are in bold and some are not. So it was rather confusing. All in all it was a very well done blog.

  2. Hello Viktor,
I liked how you wrote about what we have to do for blogging this quarter, and that you put the dates for when things are due.
I also liked that you put words that are important in color.
I think that the pictures you put in this blog post are very nice but, you could maybe add captions for them.
All together, your blog post was very good.

  3. Hey Vik.
Some things you could improve upon are trying to change the colors around a bit because all that grey was blending in making it a little harder to read. The font size was good but you could've made it a little bigger. I really liked that you put in some pictures. I also liked that you wrote about the dates when our minor comments were due. Great job Vik.

  4. Hi Viktor
I really liked that you put the webaddress to the other blog in your blog post. I also liked the pictures and the dates that the comments are due. The gray color was kind of hard to read because of the color and font. Nice job Viktor! :)

  6. Good post! I like the colors you used. (Just try to put spaces between the word and the parenthese, I just feel really, I don't know, weird when I see that.) The pictures were great, except it would be a good idea to tell the people you are using their pictures on the blog. Otherwise it was a good post!

  7. Viktor - I enjoyed reading this post, but feel you have not included enough of the Science involved in this project. You should have given more of an overview as to why we were doing KNEX building (Simple Machines) and what we were talking about. Plus, you have not related it to something in real life, which is one of the changes for your Scribe Post for the fourth quarter. Your links to the other blogs are helpful, but they should have been hyperlinked to make it easy for the reader to go to those sites. Great job on spelling, grammar and sentence structure and I think your use of color is fine. You could have had some KNEX pictures or a link to their website as an additional aid to other people reading the blog. But it was great to include classroom pictures of people building! Nice start to the fourth quarter overall :) Ms. D.

  8. Viktor, good description of blogging requirements and use of photos. Some things however need improvement. The description of the building was rather brief and if I was a random visitor I would be very confused. Also you should have made the amount of pictures from each team even (Although only class members would know this fact). Also you could have hyper-linked the addresses to the other blogs. Other than that it was a good post.

  9. Hey Viktor,
I think your blog post was very good. Your use of pictures was good because it showed the stuff we built in class. It is also good how you used the selections of colors. The size the font you used was appropriate. The one thing you could have done was described the K-nex experience with words and pictures combined. All in all good jobs.

  10. Hi Viktor,
I loved that you wrote and included the links for the blogs we need to scribe and comment on. I also liked that you reminded us what to do, very helpful. And also the pictures. Maybe you could say more about the science, so why we are doing this.

  11. Hi Viktor,
I liked reading your blog and I think that anyone who was absent for one of those days would catch up and know what was going on in Science class! One thing you could have improved on was to write more about the questions and actual machines we built! All in all I liked your post!

  12. Hi Viktor, I think your post was pretty good!
It was very informative. One thing you might have changed was the colors. The slight changes were a little annoying. You did great on the amount of photos and due dates. Bye!

  13. Hello Viktor,

  14. Hey Viktor, I like your post very much. I like that you used different colors for your post. I also liked how you included all the links to the blog. I like that you included a lot of pictures, but I think that you could have included more writing instead of more pictures, but the pictures were very nice. It was very interesting to see the 7th grade in action building the roller coaster and I can't wait for it to be finished! Overall, I think that you did a good job Viktor!

  15. Hey Viktor :) I think you did an amazing job compared to 8th grade blog this is impressive. I thought it was nice that you added pictures and did not have jut boring writing. You used diffrent colors on your text while you were talking about the diffrent topics which made it eaiser to notice and understand. You explained yourself in depth and this blog was enjoyable to read.

  16. Hello Viktor,

I think you did a great scribe post.
What I like about your scribe post

-There is a good mood (we can see that you enjoyed class)

-Motivating to start the 4th quarter

-You used pictures which was great (everybody was smiling, it is happy and nice)

-You said the assignments for the quarter and posted the link to the 8th and 6th grade blog which is helpful

    What you could improve

-The first paragraph is too gray, you try to motivate but you put a sad color.

-I think that this scribe post is too short, you could have done it longer

-You could have put the link in hyperlink (means you can click on it) and in a different color which makes it more clear.

  17. Great job on your post Viktor! It is a good choice to put the photos of your class working of roller coasters. You are also being precise about the dates for blog comments which I believe is very helpful for many of your classmates. There is also a suggestion for an improvement: When you want to post the link, try to separate it from the name of the link (ex. 8th grade blog(http://aisz810.blogspot.com), it is much easier to read if it is written like that: 8th grade blog (http://aisz810.blogspot.com)), because it was a little bit confusing. Overall your post looks great!
