On Tuesday we started building our combined K'nex 
construction!

You can see that we started building on the left.
To start this big construction after all of the little ones, was really exciting for
most of us.

Both teams worked really well and efficiently.
On Thursday we got most of the work done.

On Friday we were stressing out a little because we were trying to get the WHOLE construction finished.
In the end we got most of it done and Ms.D even gave us an extension for building.

K'nex Squad almost to be finished construction...We had fun building, at sometimes we would get stressed and panic but all in all it was great. For homework due Tuesday April 27th,you have to explain how you felt you worked during the K'nex building project. You can find this on Moodle.

ReplyDeleteI liked how your post was colorfull and full of pictures, and that you also said what we did during the week. One thing you could have added was why we are actually constucting this and what the point is; maybe also what we did before the big construction. One another thing I liked is that you reminded us of the homework.

Great job Laura. I like your post. But I think that for this post it would be better to put a different title and for me there is a bit of chaos in the post. I like the pictures and the comment of the pictures. The first colours are hard to read and the font for me is a little small. I like how you specify the point of the other group. But you did a great job.

Great post Laura!I enjoyed the colors and the pictures - although the turquoise color is a bit to light and one of your pictures runs into another. Also, you could have found synonyms for "construction", since you used it many times.
ReplyDeleteLaura - your Scribe Post is a good general explanation of what we are doing in class. You have not really included much of a "science" explanation and have not related it to real-life (as is a new requirement this quarter for blogging). I do you like your inclusion of pictures, especially since both teams were represented. Keep in mind you could have a link to Moodle for homework to make it easier to find. Overall, not bad.

ReplyDeleteI think you did a good job explaining what we did in class. I loved the way you included so many pictures. I also like that you told us what the homework was, although you could have told us more about the assignment. Another thing I didn't like so much was that the color of the font was too bright. Overall, though, I liked the blog post very much.
I like how many pictures you used and that they all go well together, i also that you used different colored text.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post Laura! very different in format from the 8th grade blogs but very creative and well spaced out. I love all the pictures as the are clear and show all the groups and have a clear explanation of what you did in class.However, one comment to imporve your post would be to change the light blue at the beginning as it is a little bright which makes it hard to read.

Laura, the summary of the class is good but a bit to brief. Also isted of writing what the students did in the text you should have put it in a caption, but you have a quick and effective summerization.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job Laura! Your Scribe Post was neat,colorful, and appropriatly organized as well. You briefly described what had been reviewed that class day and demonstrated clear understanding of your building project :). I also enjoyed the pictures you used as they gave me a sense of what excactly you were doing. One suggestion that I have for the future though, is that you have to expand on the science part of scribe and go more in depth with what was discussed and reviewed during the class. Other than that, great job!

ReplyDeleteI like your blog post very much and thank you for including me in your scribe post. I have a few suggestions though, the first paragraph is a bit too bright and for some people with bad monitors it is really hard to see. Another thing is the last paragraph, you spelled "at sometimes" instead of "at some times". You could have also pointed out some of the simple machines that were in the pictures. Except that, everything seems to be great, and good job on the pictures again!

I really liked it that you uploaded a lot of pictures; it looks very fun building the combined K'nex. For the neat time I would use a darker color then the one you used in the first two sentences but except for that you did a great job =]

Very nice job on your post! It explained me a lot what you did during the class. I also like the pictures that you posted and their discriptons. The thing you can improve on is to pick darker color for some parts of your post, because it was hard for me to read the first paragraph, because the color of font is too bright for the white background.
