Science February 23rd and 25t

Balloon rocket final!

On Tuesday our class worked on our balloon rocket designs. Trying to come up with the perfect designs for their categories(categories shown in previous post). The whole class was spent doing this.
Then on Thursday we tested our final design.

The competing teams were

Alix, Vance, and Cip competed for farthest and fastest.

Fabi,Gio, and Emilie competed for farthest and fastest

Noam,Kat, and Erik also competed for fastest and farthest.

Iva, Antonia, and Lara (who was absent Thursday) competed for going 4m forward and then come back

Bryce, Reza, and Viktor also competing for the direction changing rocket.

Unfortunately every team had some sort of bad luck throughout the testing.

Results!!!

Farthest and longest
were won by Cip, Vance ,and Alix by a fairly large margin. They were followed by Emilie, Gio, and Fabi. They were in turn followed by Noam, Kat, and Erik who experienced very bad luck

Forward and back was tied because neither teams design worked during the three rounds we were given.

After this Ms. D went over the lab conclusion which is due Tuesday, March 2nd.

Right before we left our Quests from last week were returned to us and we were either happy or sad about the grade.

The Next Scribe is Alix!!!!

  3. Great Post! I like how you wrote about all the groups and goals. One minor mistake is just that you mispelled my name. Just a recommendation to put some color on your posts. Great pictures.

  4. Bryce - the layout of your Scribe Post looks great. I agree with Fabi that the pictures, plus the captions makes things easy to read and interesting to the reader. You could have gone further with the science behind the balloon rockets, as no one has covered that yet. Something about Newton's 3rd Law would have been helpful. Overall, nice work :)
