Thursday 11, Friday 12,2010

On Thursday our class started 15 minutes later. There was so much snow that the whole school started at 10. We did not have Ms. D on Thursday because she was in Kiev. Our substitute for Thursdays lesson was Mr.Tim.

For the simple machine project, all the groups had to either make a poster, prezi or a powerpoint with a visual presentation of the simple machines. The presentation is due Tuesday March 16th.

Here is the link to the simple machines direction sheet:

Groups:
Pulley - Gio & Julia
Wheel & Axle - Viktor & Alix
Lever - Erik, Reza & Vance
Inclined Plane - Laura & Antonia
Screw - Cip & Bryce
Wedge - Kat & Emilie; Fabi & Iva

On Friday our class continued working on our projects. Mr. Tim also mentioned that there is going to be a quiz on work, power and simple machines. The quiz is going to be on Thursday March 18, but the date might change. Most of the presentations were close to being done. A reminder don't forget blogging!!!

  1. Awesome post!!! But next time, try to check your grammar a bit... Also, the color gray is a bit too light.

  2. I like how you made every paragraph a different color and this made them easy to tell apart but I think that next time you should put the links to the Canadian and 8th grade blogs.

  3. Antonia - Your post is easy to read and follow. I think you could have gone into the science of the simple machines a bit - especially yours. Or you could have discussed the directions for the projects. Nice use of color and your font choice is easy to read. Not sure what the picture is necessary for - I think you could have found a more helpful/related one! Overall, nice work :)

  4. I think your post was really easy to understand. I liked your use of color. Maybe next time you could use a darker shade of grey since it was a little hard to read. I also like that you included minor details such as that we had a substitute that day.
