Bodies Reveald

Hi you are currently looking at my blog post about my class’s field trip.

The seventh grade class of AISZ went to an amazing trip to Bodies Revealed. It was related to our science class because next we are going into the human body. The expedition showed us people’s bones, mussels, nerves, lungs, brain, heart, kidney and much more. In my opinion, the coolest thing that we saw was unborn babies in tubes. It showed us how the baby looks like inside his mom’s belly. Another really cool thing we saw was the blood vessels of the human body.
DID YOU KNOW?! If we stretch our blood vessels we will have 100,000 miles of them!
NOW YOU KNOW!

We went into a room about smoking and saw what a healthy lung and a smoker’s lung. In that room, there was a box and a sign that said that smoking kills and that they what the smokers to live longer. It also said to through away your cigarettes into the box.
DID YOU KNOW?! Every cigarette takes 3 hours and 40 seconds of your life!
NOW YOU KNOW
!
The brain was nice to see because they cut the brains into strips to show us the difference.
DID YOU KNW?! A woman’s brain is 2.5% of their body’s weight but a man’s is only 2%!
KNOW YOU KNOW!
The man who started the expedition said this quote:
"Why all this interest in the human body? The answer to this question seem quite clear to me: your body is the only thing you carry with you from the moment you are born until your very last breath.”
- Dr. Roy Glover, Medical Director.
Overall this was a very fun and I think most people will do it again!
Don’t forget to email Ms. D. about the trip by Tuesday.
Next scribe is Julia.

  1. Hi Noam,

I like the information on this blog post, but please check your spelling and grammar next time!!!!! The "DID YOU KNOW, NOW YOU KNOW" parts were very entertaining and the facts were interesting. I liked the quote by Dr. Roy Glover, and the picture of him fits in well. I think you could have included a link to the Bodies Revealed website in this, as well as more colors.

  2. Great post Noam! I'm glad to see that this field trip was much enjoyed by the class. I loved that you included facts here and there about different parts of the body you saw. The coloring and bolding matched well, and the pictures as well as the quote was appropriate. However, I would also suggest to watch your spelling and grammer throughout the post, and maybe add some links with further information. Overall, very nice post. It was short and interesting and it seems you covered much of the parts of the body you saw today on your trip as well as reminded people to email Ms. D anout the trip.

  3. Noam - one quick comment - the title you have used is incorrectly spelled. Please fix that. You may want to look through the rest of your post to check your spelling as well. More from me soon. - Ms. D.

  4. Noam good job with the scribe post. I liked how you made the did you know sections. However i think you should include more pictures and color to make this more eye catching, and by the way the picture of the brain is really cool.

  5. Noam, this is a very good scribe post. It is short, but it gets the message across efficiently. Your "Did you know" sections are interesting and factual. You use photographs nicely. The only errors I can find in this post are frivolous spelling and grammar errors, but nothing worse than that.

  6. Noam, your post is very nice! I love your "Did you know?" facts! They were so interesting, and I for one did not know any of that! You seemed to have really enjoyed the field trip, I wish the 8th grade could have gone! Your pictures are great and this is a very clear and easy post to understand. Just check your spelling!
    Well done.

  7. Noam, great post. I liked your "Did you know?" facts, as they were very informative. The font was mostly good, however a bit more of the dark red or blue. Your pictures are very great. I would suggest checking your spelling and providing some links to the bodies revealed website, and videos to that subject. Overall, nice job!

  8. Noam - nice overall explanation of our Field Trip. You do have quite a few spelling errors, including in the title of your Scribe Post. Please proof your spelling more next time. I like your font size and color choices, they were clear and made it easy to read. Your pictures are helpful too. But it would have been good to include a link to the Bodies Revealed Website and to Moodle to help your readers learn more. Great inclusion of the "Did you know?" - very Bill Nye of you :) You have not included a real life relationship explanation, which is the newest requirement. Nice work overall. ~Ms. D.

  9. Wow, Noam!
I love this scribe post! Bodies Revealed sounds like a really cool and interesting museum.
You covered so much information that I didn't know.
Like when you said that every cigarette takes 3 hours and 40 seconds of your life.

And also when you said that a woman's brain is 2.5% of the body's weight, but a man's brain is only 2%.
I didn't know these things, and I found them very interesting.

    Very well done, Noam :)
