Science Class On the 29th and 30th of April

On Thursday we had a very interesting class because we had a special guest teacher whose name was Vance Cantrell. He showed us a Powerpoint Presentation with random facts about the human body. After that Mr. Cantrell showed us some videos. The first one of them was a mutated black penguin. The second one was an awesome episode of myth busters. They were about being seasick and pickup trucks.
On Friday we finished the KNEX compound machines.
The next scribe is Fabi.

  1. Hi Reza,
I think that the picture you posted was awesomw and I think that it is very descruiptive and clear. You did a very good job explaining what we covered in class with Mr. Vance Cantrell, and I think that you could have improved in your scribe post by making it more detailed. For example, you could have put the links to the penguin video clip! You could have also written more about the K'nex biulding and how each groups worked out and if they worked out and what was difficult for one group or both groups! You maybe could have taken pictures of the final K'nex biulding and some of the work. In conclusion I think you covered what we did in class and that was great but it could be a bit more detailed!!

  2. Hey Reza,

This post was short but to the point. I think that you could have added details, such as what the MythBusters video proved. Also, you could have made the "Next Scribe" part bigger, and you could have put links to what we did. I liked the picture of the human body, but you could've made it bigger as well!

  3. Hi Reza
Your blog post was to the point and the picture was helpful. Some suggestions, it would've been easier for others who were not in class that day if you went more into depth and put some more details. It also would've helped if you maybe even put the link to the mutated penguin video. I also think that since we were doing K'nex for such a long time that you could've put a picture of the final construction. Another suggestion is that you could've made the next scribe in bigger font so that it would stand out more. Overall I think you did a good job.

  4. I think that this may have been repeated a little, but your post is a little shorter that a typical scribe post and shorter that the rest of yours, in some parts of your post it became difficult to read due to the color of the text. despite all of this your spelling and the majority of your grammar has improved by a lot. overall i thought that this was an easy to read and relevant post. I also liked the picture with the labels on the human body. and I thought that your post was relevant to the actual science that we have been doing. good job

  5. Hey Reza!
Although the picture you put was very helpful, it was also very small! I liked the way you explained what happened in class, but your scribe post was a little too short. You could have told us more about the videos we watched, such as telling us how they tested sea sickness and pickup trucks. Also, they didn't only test those two. They also busted the myth that says that if a person puts his finger in the gun barrel, it will have a banana peel effect and the person will be left unharmed while the shooter will be hurt. I liked the fact that you added colors! You did a great job!

  6. Hi there Reza :)

There's a lot of thing I want to talk about your post. Generally, it's about the length of the text you've written. It is too short, and too simple which makes me wonder was it just you or was it just the standarts of writing for 7th Grade Blog. Talking of structure, it is very simple, you've just picked the main events of the class, but you haven't gone further into that stuff. A good recommendation for you, is before posting a scribe, visit an 8th Grade Blog, and check out some of the ones that are up there. Our average post is about 350-400 words, while the one I've just read is 87. Now, talking of layout - it is the part where I start to put my thumbs up, yes, it's great. The combination of green and orange is very good! So, thumbs up! Science realton - well, I haven't really found any, but you've talked about Vance's presentation. Although, last recommendation, you could have posted a link to a Youtube video or just a link that might help to students which might didn't understand the topic, or either want to go further with it. Well, before posting something, check out our posts :)

  7. Yes, I agree that this post was rather short, and you could have added more information. I'm not really sure what you learned about the human body. I would also suggest finding the link to penguin video, so people who weren't in class or were interested to see it, could do so. But it's nice you included a picture as well as used a bright, eye catching font color.

  8. Hey Reza,

First of all, the font colors are rather nice and the layout is very good. However the scribe post is rather short and you go over it very lightly, only giving a brief overview of the class. You should go more in depth, so that someone who missed class or is in another grade could find out more about what you learned about the human body. There is only one picture, and although it is rather nice there is only one picture, and are we supposed to assume that you learned the different parts of the human organs? You could also include several helpful links that are linked with the subject you are doing, so that we can learn more about the human body. Also you could have expanded on the myth busters you watched during class, and perhaps a brief overview of what the show is and what they were proving in that particular episode. I would like to comment on the science aspect... but it' hard when there is a lack of science to comment on. Lastly you should add some tags on the bottom of your post. Overall I feel like you could have tried, and achieved much more than is shown on this post.

  9. Reza - At this point you have no labels on your post, which means I will not grade it until you do. Please follow all directions of the assignment. Thanks :) Ms. D.

  10. Good job, Reza! I like your post but I have some comments. Your post is too short. You had to write more informations. For example, you should explain more how the power point presentation was and what the videos were about. I'm intersted in video about myth busters, but i don't know what does it talk about. I like your picture but you should make it bigger.
